Thanks to our amazing customers and consignors, we are able to give back to the community in some fun and different ways. We use sales from our Deep Discount Room to give back what we can. Below are SOME of the things we have done since 2019. You only get back what you put out in the world, so be kind to others.
The third Annual Tent sale was a success and we again were able to donate a HUGE amount of clothing to an area charity. We filled 4 SUV's full of clothing and accessories and donated them to Promise Community-Hub who will distribute them to those in need in our Youngstown Community.
With donations from customers and LTC purchases, we were able to donate Christmas gifts to All residents of TWO nursing homes run by Shepherd of the Valley as well as every single staff member. This is our second year doing this and we are so excited to share the curvy Christmas spirit with more next season!
We sent over 300 cards to an organization that distributes Christmas cards to deployed members of the military. We know not everyone can be with their families for the holidays and love to share the curvy LOVE!
Once the tent sale was over, all remaining items were donated to Highway Tabernackle for thier upcoming clothing giveaway! We were able to fill a trailer and an entire MultiPassenger Van!!! We are so glad to be able to help pay it forward with them!
LTC donated breakfast items to an Art Camp for Youth in Youngstown. LTC loves to support the arts and knows it does not always have to be in big ways.
About once a month, LTC donates to the Rescue Mission in Mahoning County. We are blessed to be able to bless others. This is just one of the car loads that we have donated so far in 2023. We donate weekly to other charities in the area as well. We love being able to give back to our community.
For Christmas 2022, LTC collected Christmas presents for all of the residents of Gillett nursing home in Warren, OH. Santa and some students from Fitch HS joined us to sing Christmas carols and drop off presents to all 100 residents and 100 staff members.
LTC hosted ACTION Inc's Mobile Market for the day at the shop! This truck is a mobile grocery store that sets up all over the county to help fight food blight. LTC donated 50 $10 food vouchers in honor of a consignor that has passed away.
LTC collected donations and made up 50 gift bags for patients at the HOPE center for Cancer Awareness Month. This passion project was in remembrance of Nicci's grandfather and so many others that have been affected by Cancer.
LTC was a donation site for a local scout's project. Devon was collecting items for St. Vincent DePaul and is building them a shelving unit to assist in their storage needs to further their ability to help others in our community! The box was returned completely full of goods for his project! LTC added over 40 packs of socks!
LTC is honored to say that we were able to make a $500 donation to the people of the Ukraine in an effort to help those that need it. Consignors and customers donated $389.35!!! And the cute hearts were made by one of our talented consignors. Prayers for peace in their land and beyond
LTC donates a ton of clothing items to various charities in the local community. This batch of donation items was going to Veteran's Outreach. We are so happy to help serve those that have served to keep us safe and free!
Nancy is a YSU student that was collecting items for the Warren Family Mission as part of a project for school. LTC was happy to chip in a few bags to the cause!
We sold "thankful leaves" and raised $200 and the store matched that to make a $400 donation to The Purple Cat/Golden String Organization!
We provided some much needed love to the moms at Sojourner House with fully stocked gift bags for Mother's Day.
For Easter we donated a thousand filled eggs, baskets and teacher's goodies to the kids and staff at Potential Development Preschool!
We donated over 200 hand made ear savers to Hospice Healthcare workers!
We provided lunch for all the staff members at Briarfield Nursing Home! This was for over thirty staff members on 2 different shifts.
We supplied a full days worth of meals to all three firehouses in Boardman! Showing the BFD that curvy love on Valentine's Day!
We were able to show some love to a 6th grade class at Manor Avenue Elementary School by donating fun gift bags for Valentine's Day to show them some Love!
With the help of donations from our customers, we were able to raise $225 to donate to the Mahoning County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 141 in support of all they do. LTC Matched the first $200 raised for a total donation of $425!!!
We were able to donate about 50 pairs of shoes to All About the Pawz to help them raise funds to support their adoptable dogs!
